| INDONESIAN STUDENTS
With shipments of personal
effects: in order to minimize the excessive
Import Duty & Tax, the shipper (you)
must obtain a written statement from the
Indonesian Embassy that goods are indeed
PERSONAL EFFECTS; that is having no value
and/or not for resale. In addition the “Packing
List” must be stamped and legalized by the
Indonesian Embassy. This is a fixed rule
from Indonesian Customs. Airfreight
Door to Door services are now available.

MALAYSIA STUDENTS
Malaysia students do not
have to complete a customs duty and sales
tax declaration form for their personal
effects. Common law in Malaysia already
provides the provision of used personal
effects without duty & taxes. You can
always seek advise from your consular representative
in Australia to clarify if some items pay
duties or taxes.
